
Up before dawn. Groggily rolled luggage to the car, car to the airport, did we forget anything? Parking garage to check-in, security line. Gate. Board. Buckle. Exhale.
I watched Past Lives on the way to Vegas because I like to sob over romantic dramas on the first day of vacation. (They were lovely tears that I do not regret.)
Once we arrived we had so much time to kill because check-in at the hotel would be eons later.
So we walked around a new barren mall featuring this sphere that would display something fun between advertisements for things to distract you from the mall being empty.
