Saw a social media post about the origin of the term ‘cursor’ as a pointer in reference to a slide rule and how this inspired the computing term. I had no idea! The post had a super low resolution image with JPG artifacts and pixellated type so I pulled out my slide rule to make an update (and a photo for the day.) I’d link to the aforementioned post but because of fragmentation across a bevy of platforms, I cannot for the life of me find it. Thanks Elon.
